Here are some ways playcare can boost confidence and comfort for dogs and cats alike.
Playcare helps pets thrive in social settings
Meeting new dogs, cats, or people can be exciting or overwhelming for pets. Some are shy, while others get a little too excited.
At playcare, dog playmates are thoughtfully matched by temperament, energy level, and play style. Playgroups are small, allowing Resort attendants to keep a close eye on pets and match their unique personalities. This helps everyone feel safe while building social skills and confidence. Constant supervision and attention to your pet’s body language and comfort level are always recommended for a fun and safe time.
For dogs who prefer one-on-one attention, individual playtime is an option. This is a great way for shy or nervous dogs to get accustomed to the Resort before being introduced to new dog friends. Resort attendants are happy to help hesitant dogs build confidence to prepare them for group play. However, every dog is different and we can also accommodate those who do better with long-term individual playtime.
Each cat staying at the Resort has a multi-level kitty condo to explore. They receive daily one-on-one time and personalized attention from a Resort attendant, as well as individual playtime in our cat room. This cat-friendly room is outfitted with a cat tree, window bed, interactive toys, and a water fountain, as well as a diffuser with cat-specific calming pheromones to help each cat enjoy their stay.
Playcare helps pets adapt to new environments
Playcare provides a safe and welcoming space where positive experiences add up with every visit. Pets can rely on a familiar environment—play yards, cozy kennels, daily routines, and trusted attendants—while encountering small changes such as new playmates, toys, or activities. These gentle shifts can help pets handle new experiences or unfamiliar places with more confidence.
Playcare prepares pets for family vacations
Vacations are better with pets, but only if everyone can actually relax!
Playcare offers familiar routines with small, positive changes. While a day at the doggy splash pool or lounging in a cat condo isn’t the same as the beach or a hotel, consistent travel to and from playcare, along with exposure to new things, helps pets adjust to new spaces, people, and other animals.
If your vacation plans can’t include your pet, that’s okay! Regular playcare visits help pets feel more at home when boarding. Rest easy knowing your pet is having a fun and relaxing time at the Resort while you’re away.
